NEW Black Leopards head coach Sello Chokoe is confident he can turn around the Limpopo club’s fortunes.
Chokoe, who replaced Jairos Tapera following the Zimbawean’s resignation earlier this week, will lead Lidoda Duvha for the first time when they visit Witbank Spurs at Puma Rugby Stadium tomorrow (3:30pm).
Leopards have not been consistent in the National First Division (NFD), winning three, drawing three and losing their other three matches.
“I don’t believe in playing for a draw when you are away –that makes the players feel too relaxed. We are facing a tricky Spurs but the players know what is at stake. We must come back with maximum points.”
Well-travelled Shepherd Morape is the other new coach who will be in charge for the first time this weekend when bottom-of-the-table Magesi FC host Mthatha Bucks, who are eight points above them, at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium tomorrow (3.30pm).
NFD leaders Thanda Royal Zulu, who have yet to taste defeat in nine matches, will welcome University of Pretoria at Umhlathuze Sports Complex on Sunday (3.30pm), hoping to continue with their impressive form. AmaTuks have not won a match in their last three outings.
